Job Description
As a Marketplace Product Technical Quality Assurance at Elegant Themes, you will be the front line, reviewing and managing product submissions for the Divi Marketplace. The Divi Marketplace is an emerging marketplace of Divi integrations, Child Themes and Plugins and Custom Divi Modules, with currently over 200 vetted and approved products and growing more every day.
You get to work with teammates all over the world as we are a 100% remote team, we work with the leading industry tools, we use Slack for chat communication, and our team structure is flexible and lots of room for growth. Self-motivated individuals tend to thrive best here, so we are looking for someone filled with inspiration and who loves to take the initiative and wants to grow and expand their experience.
You will interface directly with 3rd party developers who are building amazing extensions and child themes for Divi, for submission into the Divi Marketplace. You will review products and communicate with Developers to ensure best development practices and Elegant Themes Developer Guidelines are being followed for all new and updated submissions. You utilize our cutting edge automated code analysis tools to help surface potential security or performance or other important issues in the product you are reviewing, but you will also have a good eye for spotting issues manually in code review, knowing and understanding common security issues that could be present in WordPress plugins and themes. You will create detailed reports when you find issues and communicate your findings directly with the product's developer, and then follow through and answer any potential questions they might have as they work through your feedback. You will also get opportunities to communicate needs you see arise regarding our 3rd party API to help inform and shape the direction of our offering to ensure we are meeting the real life demands and needs of the Divi Marketplace ecosystem to ensure dev can continue to innovate and develop compelling and valuable products. This is a great opportunity to sharpen and grow your technical and development skills, and would be a great fit for someone with QA experience who is working on or wanting to learn to be a junior web developer. You will need experience with reviewing and/or writing code in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and WordPress in general.
