Scalable Path is looking for a WordPress Developer with Frontend Expertise to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, full-time position.

CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
The company is a startup that is running a conference. The conference is about spreading the truth about some of the most important topics today such as finances, health, government, and consciousness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The client is building a website for their new conference. The website will have the following pages:
- Home
- Speakers
- Tickets
- Experience
- Blog Home
- Blog Article Page
- Terms of Service

The website is already designed and designs will be provided through Figma.

The client is likely to use a different developer to turn the Figma designs into HTML and CSS for you to work with, so you will likely have a lot of the HTML and CSS already built and will be able to more quickly integrate it into WordPress.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating a WordPress site from scratch
- Setting up source control, hosting, and deployment
- Creating all of the pages in WordPress (only blog articles need to be editable by the client)
- Making sure the website is optimized for search engines (SEO, sitemap.xml, etc.)
- Making sure the site is responsive and looks great on all devices (phones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
- Implement polished animations and effects on pages including parallax
- Integrating with Google Analytics and Search Console
- Integrating with a 3rd party ticketing provider

The client uses Slack for communication.

RELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:
You will be working directly with one of the founders. The client is in the America/Chicago (-06:00) CST time zone.

START DATE:
As soon as possible.

EXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION:
