Job Description
VIRTUALhaus is looking for an experienced C++ and Unreal developer to join us in creating next-generation 3D visualization applications. You will work closely with other developers (both client and server side), artists, and product managers to contribute to product development.  You will review and contribute to technical design and implement core application features.    



Key Responsibilities
-Contribute as a generalist software engineer developing production-quality C++ and Blueprints 


-Lead implementations in Unreal Engine 4 applications


-Contribute to design and code review processes in a small development team


-Collaborate with other engineers, artists, and product managers


-Contribute to our feature requirements and technical approach



Requirements and Qualifications
-3+ years of professional software engineering experience 


-Solid understanding of and experience in modern C++ development 


-Experience developing Unreal Engine 4 applications in C++


-Demonstrated experience delivering software at a component level from design to production


-Solid problem-solving and C/C++ debugging skills, and conversant with debugging tools


-Experience with source code management (SCM) tools 


-Experience working with an Agile development process and tools


-Excellent and empathetic communication and collaboration skills 


-Ability to work independently and with self-discipline within a team environment



Preferred Additional Qualifications
Experience working with HTTP, REST APIs, and client-server networking 


Understanding of Unreal materials and a basic shader pipeline


Experience with distributed SCMs, especially Git


Experience working and communicating within a remote development environment
