Sr. DevOps Engineer
- This is a contract role expected at 40hrs/week;EST hours
- The contract is 3 months to start, however, with a successful candidate, will very likely be extended to 12
- 1099 and C2C
- The role is 100% remote

ThorTech Solutions is a software development and IT consultancy that specializes in coming up with creative solutions in the cloud, specifically AWS. We utilize new technology and techniques to enable our clients to do things today that they couldn’t do yesterday.
About the Client:
- The end client is a global enterprise
- They are looking for someone to start ASAP
- We (ThorTech) already have one of our consultants working on this contract and the client has requested a second set of hands, so you would likely work closely with our consultant
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Continuous Release and Deployment Support Services
- Continuous Monitoring Support Service
- Includes modification of application code as necessary
- Continuous Feedback and Optimization Support Services
- AWS Infrastructure and Security Support Services
- Provide monthly status reviews depicting performance
- Provide thought leadership and best practices to development teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a DevOps Engineer role
- Significant experience working with Java applications
- Experience with Java profiling/optimization
- Experience with SQL profiling (specifically PostgresSQL)
- AWS infrastructure and security support services (K8s, docker, CloudFront, elastic beanstalk, etc)
- Deep experience with building and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
- Production experience with CloudFormation
- Production experience with Docker, K8s
- Production experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and DataDog
- Experience with Github Actions
- Excellent communication skills
