Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Ruby on Rails Frontend and Backend Wizard to join our team. If you are a full-stack perfectionist who can handle UI with the highest level of detail, write elegant and efficient code, and manage backend operations seamlessly, we want to hear from you. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Hellotext.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Craft intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces with a strong attention to detail.
  • Implement backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks/libraries such as Hotwire, Stimulus, TailwindCSS, Vue.js or React).
  • Deep understanding of backend technologies, including Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker).
  • Familiarity with Git and agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Ruby and Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes clusters deployed to AWS, and GitHub.
