Finding—and chatting up—an entrepreneurial, resourceful, and seasoned Social Media Manager like you who will (potentially) join our growing internal marketing team. You consistently bring your well-honed measurable and strategic social media chops to the audience engagement party showcasing the fact that you don’t just hook a target audience, you make them want to stay for the entire party. You're no stranger to S.M.A.R.T. goals, project management principles, nor branding guides, and you know your way around a Content Calendar. You’ve had the pleasure of serving on, collaborating with, and changing lives because of, time you’ve spent working with a few different marketing teams. The word “strategy” comes up at least three times on your résumé. (Before now.) You manage your own workflow beautifully, even as you integrate your collaborative work with your team’s equally collaborative efforts supporting NLBM strategic initiatives. You’re visually creative 365 days in the year, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, which means you get the picture—literally—and your theme-fueled approach to content creation often has co-workers asking you, “How DO you do it?”

What You Offer

You offer actionable insights into all things social media and execute on delivering a wide range of on-brand social media campaigns that create engagement. As the Social Media Manager you will bring a strong skill set of creative writing, managing the social accounts and Facebook community, and helping to drive strategy across all major platforms. The ideal candidate will also have a sophisticated POV on opportunities across the social landscape, be passionate about the importance of social media within marketing communications, and have a vision and experience developing a social media practice.

The Necessaries

  • 4+ years of Social Media Marketing experience
  • Four-year degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Business or related academic area
  • Creative social media writer and storyteller, ideally with experience writing for the legal, B2B, and/or online training and services space
  • Extensive experience with social media monitoring, publishing and listening platforms, with proven track record of growing brand presence
  • Adept at building, moderating, and managing social media communities using proven strategies that produce a high-level of engagement and sense of belonging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on proofreading, grammar, and reporting excellence (communications style embodies empathy, patient, diplomatic, sense of humor)
  • Well-acquainted with social media writing best practices, which includes attention to voice, tone, audience, and different content needs for different social media platforms

  • Proactive and consistently works on improving their “craft” according to industry trends

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, team player, and strong attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;experience working collaboratively with internal and external teams
