Smodin, a multi-lingual writing and language tool suite, is looking for an intelligent Machine Learning lead! Your time split should be spent 75% of the time for business-related tasks, and 25% of the time exploring new ideas.
The Team and Culture:
Currently a team of 12, we are placed throughout the globe, largely in the middle east. We make it our highest priority for all the developers to work on tasks they enjoy working on, to make their own hours, and to voice their opinions. We seldom have meetings, just bi-weekly sprint planning and any other meetings as needed. The team is currently led by our developer CEO, and we’ve taken a strong product-focused mindset for what we do. We are a group of high-caliber individuals looking to build cool solutions to new problems.

You must be:
>Extremely excited by the NLP eco-system with substantial experience working with transformer models
>Curious and creative
>Experienced managing ML projects, devs, ML Ops, optimization, and estimating timelines
You’ll Be Asked To:
>Draft plans for current projects moving forward
>Standardize python and ML practices at the company (including pipeline creation)
>Research and bring NLP ideas to the table for new ways to help millions of students or virtual workers across the globe
>Meet with the team as necessary to be in the loop on all ML things here at smodin
>Optimize models, and suggest new optimization approaches worth trying

Experience Requirements:
>4+ years with python
>2+ years with transformer models (optimization experience required)
>0.5+ years leading a team
