We are seeking to hire Engineering Managers. This senior technical and managerial role (50/50 split) would suit someone who has well-established engineering experience and is now looking for a new opportunity to build and lead dynamic teams. The successful candidate will be keen to progress within a rapidly expanding scale-up organization, helping build and lead teams. Engineering Managers play a crucial role in sharing and cultivating our culture, alongside developing our talent. You will have the opportunity to get involved in key decision making across our engineering teams, making an impact on our core business. The role will require the individual to manage a team of ambitious and highly driven Cloud-Native Engineers. The primary focus of the engineering manager will be leading through others. We would expect you to be a competent coach and mentor for this highly effective group.
On a day-to-day basis, the job will entail:
Technical challenges:
You will help your reports on their client engagements, solving both technical and business-related problems in a holistic way. You will be faced with unique challenges, encompassing:
- Chaos engineering
- Bare metal provisioning
- Serverless
- CI/CD
- Cloud migration
- Container Orchestration
- Microservices
- Observability
- …and many more
You will have the chance to stay technically focused whilst helping clients and your reports with their Cloud-Native transformations.
Managing your team:
- Managing and recruiting a team of engineers through hands-on career development
- Helping with project assignment and onboarding - based on engineers skills and career goals, aligned with the business needs
- Proactively supporting a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with CS values
Must-have Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Cloud Native technologies
- Understanding or experience of management practices
- Desire to support and develop other engineers
We are currently looking for people who are based in the EU or NA and have working permits for these places.
You will go through a number of sequential stages as part of the selection process for the role, moving through each if successful. This will involve you completing psychometric tests and a technical assessment in addition to an interview.
