As a backend developer/devops engineer in the Neo4j Developer Relations team you would be responsible for developing and operating important backend infrastructure. The team will look to you for help on design, architecture, and implementation of these systems.
As our team is educating our users about using the Neo4j Database as part of cloud services, it would be beneficial if you are interested in explaining, talking about and documenting cloud development related topics like K8S, Docker, Cloud-Native services, Event streaming, Scalability, Monitoring, Safety/Security etc. Our backends are all cloud (AWS) based and have to be highly available, monitored, and tested.
They offer APIs and recurring jobs and data flows for a variety of mission-critical services. Both user-facing services like Neo4j Sandbox, online education and event programs as well as marketing automation and metrics services depend on their ongoing operations. This also includes metrics collection and aggregation for decision making and dashboards.
For newly developed services you would be responsible for a collaborative API design and ensuring that their implementation is robust, tested, well monitored and makes a cost effective utilisation of cloud services. The latter also applies to existing services. As much as possible we try to use Neo4j, our own database, as storage but also utilize other (e.g. relational) databases and data services depending on the use-case.

We don’t expect you to have experience across all these areas. We have a mix of different skills in our team. Many of our teams are spread over two or more locations so you should be comfortable working as part of a distributed team.
