🫵 Why we’re looking for you
As a Contract Video Editor at Owner you will play a vital role in scaling Owner.com’s organic video audience on YouTube.
You will be responsible for delivering 2+ long form YouTube videos (see example here)
You’ll integrate inspiration from the best business content on YouTube and add your own creative spin as our unique brand presence on social platforms develops.
You are obsessive about creating incredible work and are self-starter that will push a project from footage ingestion through to final delivery.
You’ll collaborate with the rest of the content team to stay ahead of schedule and also repurpose your videos for short form delivery to allow for multi-platform presence.
This is a 100% remote position
💻 The impact you will have
- Audience Growth and Impact: Creating videos that help reach hundreds of thousands of restaurant owners and help them change their businesses
- Expert Craftsmanship: Taking raw creative elements and footage and making best-in-class talking head and video essay productions
- Iterative Excellence: Working with our evolving creative style to experiment with new visuals, sound effects, transitions, and sequences
- Data Driven Creative Decisions: Receiving feedback via YouTube retention charts and audience comments for feedback to improve your videos each time.
👥 Who you’ll work with
- This role will collaborate with other members of the content team, including content strategist, script writers, thumbnail designers, and our on-camera talent.
✅ Who you are
- You have a strong motion graphics and design background (not just simple editing) and can utilize After Effects
- You know how to utilize MOGRTS and templates to speed up your workflow and create more visual consistency
- You appreciate nuanced sound design and curating the perfect track for a video
- You stay on top of deadlines, communicates proactively, and don’t need to be given the same feedback multiple times
- YouTube specific expertise is a PLUS - You are a YouTube NERD and love watching and dissecting what makes truly great videos
🏆 Pay and benefits
- Compensation is on a per project basis and budget for each video is $1200+
- This role is eligible for additional benefits and perks and potential full-time trajectory, depending on location. We are looking for long-term partners
