WordPress Developer - remote

At Historic, we have a unique approach to sales and marketing. We are looking for the right candidate to assist with those efforts. Part designer, part developer, the right candidate will help potential clients discover ways to use technology to touch the lives of those they serve. In addition, they will be the driving force for all things WordPress within the agency.

Please note, if the candidate is outside of Phoenix, this position does not include relocation.

Primary responsibilities:

• Meeting with Project Managers, Strategists, and Clients to discuss website design and function,  outline requirements.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Creating the website architecture.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Recommending and working with WordPress themes and plugins.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.
• Conducting WordPress training with the client.
• Creating training content for clients as a DIY option.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website, performing routine monthly updates and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, specifically using Elementor.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
• Knowledge of back-end technologies including Laravel and PHP, and web app development using Craft.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to project manage.
• Good communication skills.
