We’re looking to add a UX designer to the team in order to help keep pushing us forward.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has been working with digital product experience and has a keen eye on design and user experience. This position is ideal for someone interested in joining a fast paced team, who is eager to help build out user experience flows within our build cycles in order to support development, our front end designer and product team.
Can you?
- Demonstrate critical thinking and well-rounded communication skills that are clear and to-the-point and involve the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Utilize user research to identify pain points and needs and put a game plan in place to find the right solution based on findings.
- Be able to adapt on the fly based on technical requirements or unforeseen complexities that undoubtedly occur when maneuvering new and updated functionality.
- Listen, advocate and collaborate with a cross-functional tight knit team of a product manager, UX designer, and developers.
- Be an active and willing participant in build cycles, user interviews, usability tests, or other design processes as needed.
- Provide feedback, opinions, and solutions to discussions that involve product development and discovery.
- Work directly alongside product team members in collaborative efforts to build out features.
- Facilitate the product vision by collaboratively working on sketching, wire framing, and prototyping experiences for products.
- Rapidly iterate on designs in accordance with usability testing, updated goals, and feedback.
- Build and scope application wireframes for build cycles.
- Partner with a senior designer in developing and building a detailed style &component guide.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in the UI or UX design field (preferably in the SaaS industry).
- Portfolio with detailed, interactive prototypes of at least 2 completed projects (SaaS oriented projects preferred).
- Advanced understanding of best practices for information architecture, user experience methodologies, interaction design, and user-centered design processes.
- Passion for applying the latest standards, changes, and trends in the UX and visual design field to your visual solutions.
- An online portfolio that you can share with us.
Skills
- Experience with organizing files, designing, and prototyping in Figma.
- Experience working with style guides and design libraries.
Bonus
- Proficiency using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. After Effects proficiency is a plus.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Confident and capable of conducting design research projects with users.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Shape Up Process for build and design Cycles.
- Has a history of volunteering and community involvement.
Benefits
- Salary range: $70K-$95K
- Remote work environment (Office space is available in Burlington, Vermont if you are local and so inclined)
