We Work Remotely
It’s a beautiful thing when you get to have an enormous influence delivering high-impact features on a product that customers warmly embrace. It’s even better when you get to set the organization up for efficient growth by establishing a design framework, patterns, and guides.

You will own design strategy and execution, and be responsible for everything from user research, to design delivery on a high-velocity roadmap, to usage analysis and iteration.

The core product-market fit is there, so you know what you’re working with.  But your leadership will be critical in taking a complex product and making it simple and delightful for even the least sophisticated user, and bringing the masses through product-led discovery and proficiency.

In this role you will find some of the most compelling UX challenges of your career delivering clear data driven insights to an underserved and not data savvy customer, while having complete ownership for delivering designs and paving the way for scaled execution.

We’re on a journey to build the next big category of sales tech - what we call “Data-Driven Sales Management Software” - that helps managers and leaders use data and metrics to improve team performance. It's a $100b opportunity, and you will be a fundamental driver of our growth.

Check out this 90 second explainer video:

We have 200+ customers, having grown rapidly over the past year and tripling revenue.

The product is fantastic and engenders wildly happy customers. We have a best in class NPS of 75, and 150% net revenue retention.

But don’t take our word for it, watch this short video to see what our customers have to say:

We are backed by blue chip investors who know about creating new categories of software:
  • Craft
  • crv
  • Bonfire Ventures
  • Bullpen Capital
  • First Round

Even cooler: We have north of 100 GTM leaders on our cap table—a mix of customers and GTM community members who believe in our vision and want us to succeed.

The company is led by second-time founders who truly understand the market. Jason and Pete previously founded TalentBin, which was acquired by Monster.  And Pete wrote the book on modern startup sales, Founding Sales.

The opportunity
Make the complex simple: You will lead the effort to take a complex product and make it simple and beautiful. You will retain efficiencies and power for super-users while creating a delightful data product for sales managers who don’t want to be data analysts.

Understand our customers: You will own user research and understand what customers with varying levels of data affinity and proficiency want and need.

Lead through the product: You will assist product management in creating a product-led customer discovery and usage journey so customers become proficient with the product without needing assistance for onboarding and tuning.

Rapid delivery, evaluation, and iteration: You will quickly execute designs for our entire product roadmap, while being comfortable setting success goals, analyzing metrics, and iterating until features are successful.

Set up for growth: You will get stuff out quickly but understand the importance of company growth and will be thrilled about the opportunity to develop and execute a design strategy, including defining brand-related design principles, voice guidelines, an interaction framework, and visual patterns. Most of your day-to-day will be strategy and execution at an individual level, but you will also manage design contractors and will help to build a small design team.

Persuade and execute: You will understand the value of good design principles but you won’t be held back by tradition. You will be results oriented and driven by user adoption, and propose solutions that push into the future. You will not believe the lie that data must be boring and banker-friendly;and you know for a fact that good products must be prescriptive when creating a new category of software.

Collaborate across the org: You will love collaborating with product management and engineering, and not shy away from participating in solving feature complexities. You will also look forward to hanging with the sales and customer success teams to ensure you deeply understand the wants and needs of all our customer segments.

Join at the knee of the curve: The company stage is perfectly positioned for career advancement, financial upside, and entrepreneurial self-actualization. We just raised a $20M Series A, led by Craft Venture, on the back of strong early product market (75 NPS, 150% NRR, customer love) and go-to-market (200+ customers, 3x YoY ARR) fit, which greatly mitigates downside risk.  We’re on a journey to build the next big category of sales tech, and we are still early in the category creation process for a $100b opportunity, so the potential upside of building a multi-billion dollar business is huge.

Work with a strong leadership team: You will get to work very closely with second-time founders (Jason, Pete) who truly understand the market (GTM leader bio, Founding Sales) and are good human beings and good mentors, work hard and smart, and know how to do their jobs very well.
Characteristics for role success
Human catalyst: You are a positive influence on the growth and efficiency of product design. You are ready to define frameworks and patterns so you and your team can get more stuff done while still maintaining a high level of quality.

Creative executor: You strive for those Eureka! moments when you know you created something that works nicely for customers and they love it.

Challenge beast: You love a good challenge, specifically making complex products simple and beautiful.  Delivering clearly understood data-driven insights to sales managers with varying affinities for data is exceptionally hard. You know that, but that’s why you come to work in the morning.

Analytical thinker: You are a great designer but you also use the healthy analytical side of your brain. You are comfortable with metrics, math, and complicated business logic. You love data and the presentation of data.

User-led designer: You’ve built products that are great at leading customers through set-up, usage, and efficiency. And you have a proven track-record for designing high-performance products that are insanely fun for super users yet still enjoyable for those more utility-minded.

Wrapped with a bow: You are a package of energy, organization, flexibility, collaboration, and vision. You are exceptionally detail oriented, and can juggle many priorities. You roll up your sleeves on execution and do the hard things well. To top it off, you are excited about the risk/reward ratio and personal satisfaction that comes with joining an early-stage startup.

Product overview
After a 90 second set up flow, Atrium works out of the box to:
  • Continuously monitor every KPI that might matter in your organization
  • Proactively identity what is working and what is not
  • Provide solutions paths so managers can solve issues before they become problems

When a sales manager comes to the Atrium website and completes the 90 second set up flow, the product immediately tells them not only that Jane is their best rep, but what Jane is doing differently than every other rep such that those behaviors can be replicated across the team.

Atrium replaces the intractable wall of charts that gets ignored by sales managers.  Instead, Atrium empowers each manager to make smart decisions by providing answers on who to coach, what activities to coach them on, and what the solution paths look like.
