We are looking for a talented engineer to join our Solution Security &Release Engineering department. You will be working on the beating heart of our secure software supply chain: the Open Build Service
(https://openbuildservice.org/), which provides a root of trust for 30.000 users building over 140.000 packages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review software packages and product configurations from developers and release engineers
- help with 3rd party code audits on demand
- Integrate 3rd party services and tools (e.g. code security) into the Build Service
- Ensure the quality of the software that is submitted into the Build Service
- Review and improve existing tools and processes
- Improve and develop new features for the Build Service backend
- Voluntary 24/7 on-call participation
Candidate Profile:
- Highly self-motivated and self-organized
- Very good understanding of the Linux operating system
- Good programming skills (e.g. R / Perl / Bash / Python) including the willingness to learn new languages
- Familiarity with software development processes
- Familiarity with software packaging
- Ideally experience with release engineering
- Working in open-source communities is a plus
- Good communication skills and a strong proficiency in English (spoken and written)
