Software Project Manager –Remote, U.S. Only

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize. You will be tasked with managing anywhere from 5 to 15 projects at one time. You will be responsible for keeping track of the status of each project you’re working on, maintaining documentation, coordinating team schedules, updating project timelines and keeping project members up to speed and on track.
- Excellent communicator. As you will spend a good amount of time on calls with consultants, artists, and developers reviewing client requests and feedback, the ability to articulate rational behind design and programming decisions is critical. You will also deal directly with clients in a marketing capacity to articulate project visions and requirements.
- Flexible. Client requests can change frequently, especially in the initial phases of a project. Therefore, the ability to lead through changing requirements or technical limitations and adjust accordingly is a must.
- Decisive, Confident. As a software project manager, you need to be able to advocate for your team. This role is not designed for you to be a middleman—you must possess the ability to respond to requests that are out of scope or do not fit best web practices is important to delivering high-quality deliverables and maintaining team morale.
- Close eye for detail. You will be the initial point-person running QA/QC and checking development work. The ability to notice and address discrepancies early saves time with the consultants and helps prevent future client issues.
- Team player. You’re willing to step up and do what’s needed for an on-time, successful project completion. You aren’t afraid to get in the weeds, manage content, review business requirement documents, etc.
- Problem solver (ability to learn and adapt). Due to the ever-changing nature of technology and PartnerComm’s practice of creating custom solutions for our clients, there will come a time where you are asked to work with something new. The ability to problem solve, fix issues as they arise and learn on the go allows the development team to stay focused on their assigned tasks.
Ideal Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years relevant work experience, especially with owning a project through its entire life cycle
- Experience working with a Content Management System, preferably WordPress
- Experience working with project management platforms, Agile methodology
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience working in a technology space, with developers
- Understanding of basic UX/UI principles
