What you’ll do
Our Public Cloud Engineering Team is highly collaborative with a passion for high-quality code. You'll be working alongside other engineers and architects to implement new features, fix bugs, and design solutions to bring the catalog of SUSE products to market in conjunction with our cloud service provider partners. You will also develop solutions to help our customers and partners achieve more by harnessing the power of the cloud.
Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical solutions, a software engineer working on the Public Cloud Engineering Team may also coach/mentor new team members, partner with our sales and support teams on complex issues, work with leadership on process improvements and strategic initiatives, and contribute to a wide range of open source projects.

What you’ll bring
At least 2 years’software engineering or equivalent experience
Expertise and hands-on experience with Python, Ruby, Go, or other programming/scripting languages
Experience with Cloud Computing (ie. AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or Distributed Systems
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in English
Excellent problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Linux Administration
Passion for contributing to a safe, diverse, and inclusive culture
Passion for building great things with a strong desire to continuously improve
Bonus Points for
Experience with open source development
Experience working within a distributed team
Familiarity with performance instrumentation, analysis and tuning
Familiarity with container technology and cloud native applications
