About the position:
We are looking for a talented and experienced software architect to join our growing business. In this role, you will design high-level software, develop high-level product specifications and determine technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. You will assist on the investment in our growing team of engineers and developers by providing leadership, mentorship, direction and best practices to produce high quality deliverables in an efficient and timely manner.
As a Software Architect at Talroo, you will:
- Help the engineering team establish and maintain a high standard of exploration, creativity and quality
- Pilot new technologies, especially within the AWS eco-system and Search Engine
- Mentor the engineering team about new technology and implementation
- Organize and/or participate in discussions about software design, implementation, deployment and testing
- Thoroughly communicate with Executives, Product Managers and other departments, to align actions, provide feedback, and set expectations
- Contribute impeccable and efficient code
What we are looking for in a highly qualified candidate:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, system design, and technical leadership
- 3+ years of experience leading/mentoring a team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Prior experience in AWS is required
- ECS and EKS experience
- Ability to pass a very challenging programming test
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Extensive understanding of architectural styles and design patterns
- High integrity and passion about technology and its application usage

Preferred Experience
- AWS Certified Developer
- Experience with Solr Cloud
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP, etc.)
