The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team. This is primarily a work from home position and contains both management responsibility and hands-on technical work. One perk of the job is travel to attend security conferences.

The interview process will include a question and answer session to determine the candidate's level of familiarity with network security and other related concepts.

The Day to Day:

  • Maintaining security of important IT infrastructure
  • Auditing logs, finding security gaps and implementing improvements
  • Performing Audits including WebTrust in concert with outside AICPA Auditor
  • Administering security working group discussions
  • Performing other systems maintenance as needed

Core Requirements (must have all of these items):

  • Strong working knowledge of using network security and configuration management
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and the various conventions/software used (emphasis on Ubuntu/Debian/systemd)
  • Development (tool automation) experience in Python and Bash (Node.js &other languages are a plus)
  • Ability to create reliable tools or simple scripts in Python &Bash (accepts arguments, simple data conversions, enumerates system info, etc)
  • Familiarity with Git version control (Gitlab experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with OpenSSL and knowledge of Luna HSMs and certificate management

Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and implementation, and DNS
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues from remote
  • Working knowledge of hypervisors
  • Familiarly with and adherence to information security best practices
  • Experience with high availability environments

Other Job Requirements (must have all of these items):

  • Ability to perform occasional off hours support as needed
  • Must be a self starter with minimal supervision required
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is a plus
  • Active or former United States security clearance is a major differentiator
