Ruby on Rails/Go Full-Stack Engineer 

NOTE: This position is US-based only and requires US citizenship

 

Reports to the CTO

This position is a member of the Engineering team and has no direct reports at this time

 

We are hiring to fill a full-stack engineer role in our Engineering team.  You will be responsible for building features and maintaining the system.  You will have a direct impact both on the customer’s experience and the scalability of our system.  The role will challenge your design, analytic, technical, and organization skills continuously.

 

While we all develop expertise in certain areas of our platform, we aim to have engineers able to work in every part of our system – from cloud deployment configuration all the way to front-end. Projects are assigned to balance team productivity with professional development. 

 

The candidate should have prior Ruby on Rails or Go experience, be comfortable working remotely, and able to communicate effectively through collaboration tools.  The candidate must actively look for feedback, as it’s provided regularly, so we can all grow professionally and exceed the expected deliverables for the Engineering team.

 

·        Analyze needed features to determine their impact on the system

·        Design and implement features in entire stack: from front-end to back-end services to cloud deployments

·        Recommend approaches to solving new problems as well as improvements to existing code and architecture

·        Participate in Engineering code reviews - review team’s code and fix defects found in reviews of your code

·        Write unit tests to prove features are working and continue to work

·        Task automation for productivity improvements
