Advoc8 is a five year old startup based in Sydney, Australia. We make a political engagement tool for government relations teams at organisations spanning from charities like Unicef through to big businesses like Google.
Over the past year of lockdowns we’ve seen how government decisions can make or break industries. Our Saas platform provides teams with real time data and collaboration tools to help them better understand government decision making and more effectively advocate for their issues.
We’re a team of 4 and have big plans to grow this year. We're looking for a pragmatic, versatile Rails dev to help us build the next phase of the product. Someone who can contribute to product decisions and build great user experiences with a solid foundation in good Ruby/Rails practice.
We’re all big believers in the Majestic Monolith for all the benefits it brings to small fast-moving teams like us. We hope you are too.
This will be a great opportunity for you to broaden your technical skills, learn the inner workings of a B2B Saas business and optionally take on more responsibility as the team grows.

- Building an inbound email logging feature with ActionMailbox
- Designing a maintainable approach for multi-tenancy

At least 3 years experience working in Rails is required and over 5 years as a developer in any discipline.
A passing interest in politics will also obviously be a plus! Overall we’re looking for a strong collaborator: someone who is capable of discussing both technical aspects as well as fleshing out product ideas.
