Authentic Jobs

Hey there! We’re looking for a fun, friendly person to help manage website projects for around 20 hrs per week. We’re a fun team that gets to work on some amazing creative projects for our clients. We predominantly do WordPress websites and branding projects for Non-profit organizations.

We’ve recorded a little video introducing ourselves and outlining requirements for the position, please take look here.

Skills

  • Critical thinking/problem solving: We are looking for someone who can create solutions to problems and think critically. This job is not for someone who requires a lot of direction from other people. We want a self-starter who feels comfortable building their own solutions as problems arise.
  • Tech-savvy: While you don’t necessarily need to know how to code, this will need to be someone that has an understanding of the web development process and can help work alongside and problem solve with devs or coordinate feedback from clients.
  • Amazing written and verbal English as you will be in regular contact with clients.
  • Confident on the phone. Often our clients will want to hop on a call to give a project brief or send feedback. We need someone who feels comfortable on the phone.
  • Ability to interpret client requests: This job requires more than the ability to sit on a call and take notes from the client. We need someone who can think critically, ask clarifying questions and problem solve.
  • A friendly, fun attitude
  • Happy to learn new skills and discover things on your own
  • Attention to detail as we’ll need someone who can stay organized with multiple projects at once. We have project boards that need to be kept up to date as requests or changes from the client come in.
  • Please mention the work Octopus in your submission!

Availability/Time Commitment:

Must be available 9am to 5pm pst. On most days, hours can be flexible unless there is a meeting on the books. You won’t be working all day, every day (usually about 20 hrs per week but that might be 5 on one day and 1 another day depending on what’s going on). While you don’t need to be “working”all the time we do need to have scheduled check-ins throughout the day to see if new client requests have come in and need to get addressed with a team member or the client.

Very much looking forward to meeting you!
