At Hotjar, we’re building Behavior Analytics software for businesses selling online. We make it easy for them to go beyond traditional web analytics and understand what users are really doing on their site.
Reporting to a Product Design Lead, we are looking for a Product Designer who is passionate about creating practical, simple and human solutions to complex problems which will help design the future of Hotjar – a product used by thousands of users worldwide. This role will sit within a brand new and very important squad in Hotjar - Acquisition. This squad faces exciting challenges with areas of ownership around our sign up flow, website information architecture, pricing and product tour pages, and conversion rate optimization across the entire funnel - to name a few.

You will:
- Create feasible design solutions based on user and business needs while taking into account technical constraints and feedback across different teams.
- Form part of the product and engineering team by collaborating with product managers and engineers - from discovery to delivery, on to monitoring after release.
- Help lead cross tribe initiatives to influence and drive strategic decisions, advocating for the user while bringing qualitative and quantitative data to the conversations.
- Design engaging experiences in an iterative manner while following and improving Hotjar’s design system, using flow diagrams, sketches and prototypes, taking care to validate your concepts with customers, generating research insights and sharing them with the wider team.
- Work with design leadership, internal partners, and engineers in an iterative, transparent, and feedback-driven process.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience designing digital products and systems, not just websites. You have helped ship products.
- Experience designing experiences for desktops, tablets, and phones.
- Ability in the entire product development process, from stakeholder management, to research and problem solving through user testing to final UI.
- You can prototype ideas quickly and iterate using tools such as Figma, InVision, Framer, Principle, etc.
- You always think MVP first, collaborate effectively with engineers and have the ability to work in an agile and fast-paced team.
- Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, following Hotjar’s company values, culture and ways of working.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this role is €55,000 to €75,000 at Specialist level, or €70,000 to €95,000 at Senior level annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
