Our team builds the mobile apps our customers use to access their FileCloud servers and files. We are looking for an Android developer who will help us take our app to the  next level in terms of quality and usability. You will work closely with iOS developers  and other members to create the best possible mobile experience for our customers.  This role is remote and will require working remotely with other team members.

Our products are used by many global  2000 and Fortune 500 companies and world-leading public sector organizations.  FileCloud recently closed a $30 million Series A investment led by Savant Growth to  address the growing demand for enterprise security, compliance, and workflow  automation. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, maintain and support our existing Android apps 
  • Adopt and enforce best practices, write future-proof code  
  • Build new features independently with minimal guidance 
  • Provide feedback, help with the advancement of tools and processes
  • Proactively suggest improvements within the team and beyond
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or in a related field  
  • 3+ years of relevant Android development experience
  • Experience with the main Android tools and libs such as: Retrofit, Glide, MVVM 
  • Good sense of design, able to recreate pixel-perfect layouts from Figma mockups created by our designers 
  • Strong knowledge of Web Technologies including HTTP protocol, XML, REST APIs 
  • Strong understanding of server-client architecture 
  • Self-starter, motivated, able to work with little supervision 
  • Comfortable with Git version control system 
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Strong expertise in Kotlin 
  • Experience setting up strong test practices in the Android environment 
  • Knowledge of overall iOS app development and ecosystem
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD systems 
  • Good cross-team communication abilities, able to efficiently talk and work with  QA / support teams
