Role
As a UX Designer, you will be expected to understand the user’s needs, define problems, and generate well-thought-out ideas to solve these problems. You will regularly collaborate with other user experience members to translate goals, research, and identified problems into testable, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing solutions. You will create a close working relationship with research and design team members to help ensure that the product vision meets expectations and requirements while also accommodating the needs of our end-users.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate critical thinking and well-rounded communication skills that are clear and to-the-point and involve the appropriate team members when necessary.
- Utilize user research to identify pain points and needs and devise elegant solutions based on these findings.
- Iterate designs based on technical requirements or unforeseen complexities and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
- Actively collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, UX designers, researchers, and developers.
- Be an active and willing participant in design sprints, user interviews, usability tests, or other design processes as needed.
- Provide feedback, opinions, and solutions to discussions that involve product development and discovery.
- Work directly alongside other design team members in collaborative efforts to build out features.
- Facilitate the product vision by collaboratively working on sketching, wireframing, and prototyping experiences for products.
- Rapidly iterate on designs in accordance with user testing, updated goals, and feedback.
- Design and deliver wireframes and prototypes that are optimized and compatible with a range of screen sizes and devices.
- Select the most promising idea(s) based on their feasibility, desirability, and viability, among other criteria.
- Create designs that adhere to design system rules and requirements.
- Partner with senior designers in developing and building a detailed style &component guide.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience working in the UI or UX design field.
- Portfolio with detailed, interactive prototypes of at least 4 completed projects (personal or real-world), with a minimum of 2 projects that were executed with the use of research or factual data.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of best practices for information architecture, user experience methodologies, interaction design, and user-centered design processes.
- Intermediate knowledge of accessibility principles and a built habit of implementing them into your designs.
- Passion for applying the latest standards, changes, and trends in the UX and visual design field your visual solutions.
- Advanced experience with organizing files, designing, and prototyping in Figma and XD.
- Advanced proficiency using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. After Effects proficiency is a plus.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience working with style guides and design libraries.
