- This lead engineer will help the Product Manager on their Store Planning Tools team/strategy. This group recently took over “Space Applications”meaning the tools associate with space and lay out in stores. They thought they had one set of tools but that was not the case.
- They are putting together a plan and use case with strategy, budget and benefits
- The client opened this role as a Architect because they need this lead engineer to assess the current ecosystem of largely packaged software, recommend the future state architecture, and then actively participate in and lead execution toward simplification and benefit realization.
- Their technologies include: Blue Door, JDA (for planogram tools), Symphony (store layout tool), One Door (take data outputs, a SAS platform), TCS (planning analytics capability). It’s preferred if they have familiarity with ANY of these tools.
- We need someone who can stand up POC’s, lead the team with some management duties, know the technology inside and out, and guide the engineers.
- Someone who has a breadth of technology that they are comfortable with - from MS .NET to Java and probably Nodejs.
- If they have experience with technology that does store planning, that’s a bonus
- Someone who continues to be a practitioner instead of pulling way up
MUST HAVES:
- Extensive Software Development experience –not tying a # of years to it –someone who has an architectural mindset
- Someone who can collect/discover/assess/recommend and help build and lead team to execute on roadmap
- Someone who has or can lead a team of engineers
- Breadth of back end technologies that they are very comfortable with
- Java, .NET, Nodejs
NICE TO HAVES:
- React or other JavaScript frameworks
- Leadership experience
