SecZetta provides third-party identity risk solutions that are easy to use, and purpose built to help organizations execute risk-based identity access and lifecycle strategies for non-employee populations. A fast-growing, well-funded Series B startup, were tackling identity security threats for customers in health care, financial services, transportation, insurance, and more through our namesake SaaS product.

We are hiring a Lead Engineer to take the reins of one of our engineering teams to deliver well-designed, well-tested, and well-built features and fixes. This individual would be responsible for leading team meetings, providing mentorship and oversight, and contributing to the development of our applications within an agile framework. Ideal candidates are customer-focused creative problem solvers with a passion for clean well-organized code, expert in one or more areas of our tech stack, who use innate curiosity and drive to make a significant impact in our product.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership to a specific engineering team, and closely collaborate across engineering teams and product management.

Contribute to the completion of tasks, stories, and defects within sprints.

Participate in code reviews to ensure strongly designed and tested commits.

Lead daily stand-ups and retrospective agile ceremonies.

Assist with the breakdown and adjustment of stories and task during planning.

Provide mentorship for other engineers within the team, and help identify areas of improvement.

Look ahead to future sprints and identify gaps in description, designs, or conditions of satisfaction.

Requirements

5+ years experience with the Ruby on Rails framework. Significant experience in other languages and frameworks will be considered alongside a willingness and aptitude to learn.

1+ years experience with ReactJS, Angular or equivalent.

Solid technical documentation ability

Strong understanding of scrum and agile methodology

Strong leadership and mentoring ability

Strong technical communications skills documenting designs and processes

Bonus skills

Alternative database technologies including NoSQL, graph, and time-series databases

Familiarity with Authentication and Authorization protocols: OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect

Experience operating using scrum and agile methodologies

Experience with AWS, specifically: EC2, ECR, S3, Fargate, RDS, EKS, ElastiCache

Continuous Development / Continuous Integration processes

Internationalization

Required education:

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Location: US REMOTE or Fall River, MA
