We are looking for an experienced Lead Backend Developer with Python/Django knowledge willing to work in a lean and agile environment.
In this role, you will:
- Develop highly scalable APIs in Python &Django
- Gather information on new &relevant technologies, documentation practices, scalability, testing techniques, and refactoring, constantly improving the performance and efficiency
- Be a technical mentor for other engineering team members
- Take initiative in developing and maintaining integrations of best practices among all backend developers
- Design and deploy services on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Ship clear, maintainable and thoughtfully commented code
What you need to be successful:
- You have experience leading engineering teams in a high growth environment
- 3+ years of professional experience with Python
- Experience with Python-based frameworks (we use Django)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ORMs
- Experience with testing frameworks
- Experience with cloud services (we're on AWS)
- Competent with revision control systems (we use Git)
