We are looking for an experienced Lead Backend Developer with Python/Django knowledge willing to work in a lean and agile environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop highly scalable APIs in Python &Django
  • Gather information on new &relevant technologies, documentation practices, scalability, testing techniques, and refactoring, constantly improving the performance and efficiency
  • Be a technical mentor for other engineering team members
  • Take initiative in developing and maintaining integrations of best practices among all backend developers
  • Design and deploy services on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Ship clear, maintainable and thoughtfully commented code

What you need to be successful:

  • You have experience leading engineering teams in a high growth environment
  • 3+ years of professional experience with Python
  • Experience with Python-based frameworks (we use Django)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ORMs
  • Experience with testing frameworks
  • Experience with cloud services (we're on AWS)
  • Competent with revision control systems (we use Git)
