Razeware is a small bootstrapped company with just 15 full-time team members (and growing!), and we work with a wide network of over 200 part-time contractors from around the world who help create tutorials, videos, and books for our site. Our entire company is remote, and this job is too!

We are looking for: 

We are looking for a creative and brilliant Junior UI/UX Designer to join our growing team at raywenderlich.com. As a UI/UX Designer you will be responsible for supporting the design team through the conception and delivery of hi-fidelity designs that fit seamlessly into our eLearning platform.

Ideal Candidate: 

You are a creative problem solver with an eye for detail, color, typography and composition. You are interested in understanding our customers and the field of eLearning UX and the ways it can be applied to create a better experience. You design accessible experiences for mobile and desktop applications. You are responsive to change and willing to learn new skills and concepts. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Understanding the motivations of our customers, researching and uncovering problems and proposing new designs and experiences.
  • Working through all aspects of the design process from initial concepts to paper prototypes, wireframes and hi-fidelity designs.
  • Create visual designs for web and mobile applications that are both visually beautiful, solve real problems and are accessible, inclusive and empathetic to our users.
  • Collaborate with different departments to help coordinate the user experience and delivery of new features, and products.
  • User test and validate your designs and hypotheses. 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in designing high quality experiences
  • Portfolio of web and mobile projects showing strong visual design skills
  • Strong communication skills

  • HTML + CSS
