What You'll Do
- Tier 1 support for employees' IT issues
- Purchase and provision computers and computer accessories to employees
- Manage software updates
- Steward data through the video post-production pipeline
- Oversee databases and storage servers
- Oversee LTO tape backups and archives
- Expand and update documentation
What You'll Need
- Ability to commute to Washington, D.C as needed
- Strong attention to detail, ability to be proactive, and a positive, can-do attitude
- Empathy for fellow employees who require technical assistance
- Openness to feedback and challenge and a desire for continuous learning and improvement
- Desire to work in a fast-growing and fast-moving startup environment
- Basic proficiency in macOS, Windows, and Linux environments
Preferred Skills (Not Required!)
- Familiarity with bash, vim, PowerShell, ssh, rsync a plus
- Familiarity with basic networking a plus
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services a plus
- Knowledge of video post-production a plus
