This Senior Integration Engineer is accountable for the integration development for current and future mobile solutions within our client's growing Employee Experience business unit. This role requires the ability to develop mature Node.js or Python code in a Cloud environment while working closely with both front-end developers, as well as technical and business subject matter experts representing back-end systems.
Summary of Responsibilities:
This role requires the ability to quickly come up to speed on the overall infrastructure of the various back-end systems and a deep understanding of multi-tier integration solution concepts. An ideal candidate will be able to leverage existing design ideas as well as actively contribute towards areas that still need discovery and design decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of development using Node.js or Python
- Minimum 3 years of creating and managing code in a Cloud environment (AWS, serverless)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with code automation, DevOps, IAC and CI/CD
- Solid understanding of branching strategies and experience with GitLab or GitHub
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adjust to change and help with forming best development practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or exposure to infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Agile team experience including a solid understanding of the ceremonies
- Jira/Confluence experience
- Ability to write, maintain and schedule unit tests
- Experience in meeting rigid approval expectations in a heavily regulated industry
