Tacen is looking for a self-driven Infrastructure Engineer who can take control of growing devops needs in building a revolutionary digital assets exchange platform. You'll be joining Tacen's full-time development team to create, deploy, and monitor the company's cloud environments, which will include production environment. You'll have a great deal of autonomy for implementing engineering decisions.

This position is fully remote within the USA and may require 5-10% travel for engineering team &company-wide meet ups. Salary range is $150,000-$180,000 DOE;compensation includes stocks and token purchase option. You must have the right to work within the USA.




Responsibilities

General Practice

  • Operate with minimal technical supervision, create reliability requirements, and control risks with automated methods
  • Write high-quality policies, procedures, tickets, and technical documents
Infrastructure Configuration Management

  • Architect our cloud environments to be HA and protected
  • Create and maintain on-demand provisioning of load-test environment
  • Improve automation for provisioning and configuring new environments
  • Maintain provisioning repository (Terraform) for application and system configuration
  • Setup backup and recovery plan, and carry them out
Continuous Integration and Deployment

  • Create maintain standardized CI/CD configuration for developers to use
  • Setup and maintain company's Helm charts, private packages, and containers
  • Support developers in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Security, Training, and Monitoring

  • Improve secrets and credentials validation across development organization
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of known exploit vectors, and incorporate security measures against them
  • Manage provisioned resources in cloud environments
  • Monitor the environment and proactively responding to incidents
  • Review development approaches and make change requests with security in mind
  • Troubleshoot and triage issues
  • Work with CTO to create devops training plans for the developers &implement the training plan
  • Collaborating with and leading point for other DevOps Engineers



Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and other orchestration tools
  • Ability to code with Python, shell scripts, Typescript, and/or Golang
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that give sufficient context and clarify issues quickly
  • Experience with both public cloud and on-prem system provisioning
  • Experience with on-call duties and systems like PagerDuty
  • Firm fundamental understanding of various measures used in securing the modern web
  • Mindset to proactively address potential issues relating to deployment and new feature set
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor, review, analyze, and solve difficult issues that span multiple services
  • Strong background understanding of difference between VM and containerization
  • Strong practical knowledge of and experience with linux environment
  • Strong working understanding of technologies behind modern cloud platforms
