The Job: Head of Operations &Finance
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll work closely with the rest of our team and leadership to execute on key initiatives important to the next phase of our growth and evolution as a business. Focus areas will be:
- Lead planning and productivity initiatives.
- Security: Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information.
- Automation: Automate recurring tasks.
- Finance: Manage accounts receivable (make sure we get paid), accounts payable (make sure we pay our vendors and employees) and bookkeeping. Help customers who want to make changes or have questions about their account or their bills.
- Compliance: Proactively monitor taxation requirements. Ensure compliance landscape evolves and meets with the local, state, and federal US government requirements.
- Strategic projects: Such as due diligence, fundraising projects.
- Technology: Manage accounting and finance-related technology, from Quick Books to subscription management tools to credit card processor to business intelligence toolset.
Who we’re looking for:
As an ideal candidate, you will have experience in an early stage startup or the SaaS industry. You enjoy developing innovative solutions that test age old boundaries.
- 10 years’ experience in operations and finance.
- Strong working knowledge of US industry regulations and legislative guidelines.
- Experience with budget allocation, forecasting and business plan development.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Proven ability in automating processes and creating systems.
- Superior negotiation and communication skills in both internal and external settings.
- Ability to adapt and grow (startup life isn’t a straight line)
