- You work as an architect for the technology strategy of the portfolio of the company to ensure current and future business capabilites.
- You enable optimal value flow within a portfolio by enabling technical framework conditions.
- You develop enterprise architecture vision, strategy, principles and architectural runway.
- You evaluate and select technical solutions (build-or-buy, frameworks, technology stacks).
- You create and drive technical solutions through portfolio process and up to implemention by development teams and you coordinate the results.
- You ensure technical consistency across programs and teams (e.g. by principles, guidelines, tech radar).
- You maintain close contact with implementation programs, architecture groups and Communities of Practice including organization and conducting of calls and events.
- You promote the design, reuse, and application of technical patterns, e.g. according to DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and DDD.
- You maintain architecture tools like LeanIX and provide up-to-date content for capability map, etc.
What you need to succeed
- University or university of applied science with a focus on computer science or a comparable course of study
- Full lifecycle experience with at least 5 years of practical experience in at least two of the following fields: requirements management, IT operations, QA, software development (custom development, Java, Angular, React and similar preferably)
- Several years of experience in design and implementation of high-available, scaled and distributed system architectures, ideally with microservices, domain-driven architectures
- Knowledge of software engineering methods (OOA/OOD, UML), design patterns and agile software development (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS and similar)
- General experience with virtualization, containerization, Cloud and PaaS systems (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker and similar)
- Security in presentating complex issues, in particular to customers
- Strong analytical skills
- Team spirit, creativity and fun in project-related work
- Very good German and good English skills
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications (e.g. iSAQB, TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect)
- Hands-on knowledge in test-driven development, continuous integration and delivery
- In-depth database knowledge (RDMS and NoSQL)
- Knowledge in the automotive area
