You’re an experienced engineering leader who understands that in the world of cloud-based services, building software only gets you to the starting line. Shipping, operating, and supporting those services is the race. You obsess over delighting customers, but aren’t afraid to make difficult tradeoffs and decisions. You have more than a few years of experience in a fast-paced development environment and are passionate about talent and team building.

As Director of Engineering for IdentityNow, you will be ultimately responsible for the success of building and supporting SailPoint’s flagship SaaS product. You will develop the people, processes, and tools that ensure the reliability, resiliency, and performance of a complex product suite built by a globally distributed team that processing tens of billions of events annually. Leading multiple teams of talented Software Engineers and Engineering Managers, you will work closely with Product Managers;Designers;Software, DevOps, and Reliability Engineers, and other Engineering leaders to continuously evolve the scale and capabilities of our products and platform while consistently increasing the value we deliver to our customers.

What You’ll Make Happen:

  • Partner with Product Management and Architects to ensure your teams have clear tactical and strategic backlogs.

  • Balance competing priorities to ensure we effectively ship new features while resolving defects and continuing to enhance and evolve our technical foundations.

  • Recruit, develop, and motivate multiple high performing teams of engineers.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in an engineering leadership role, preferably working on a SaaS product at scale, with demonstrable experience managing other managers.

  • 5+ years of hands on experience as a Software Engineer.

  • Deep knowledge of agile processes and workflows.

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field. MBA or other relevant Master’s Degree preferred.
