PureGym has a new opportunity for a Contract Software Engineer to join our 50-strong IT team based in Southampton.
You will bring deep technical skills to a high performing, cross-functional team who are responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and testing of the infrastructure, applications and services which fall within your stream of work.
Day-to-day, your tasks will include:
- Owning and delivering against a variety of tasks including new features, bugs and tech debt
- Ensuring output is of high quality, maintainable, performant and secure
- Taking ownership of the technical delivery of well-defined tasks
- Configuring and utilising build and deployment mechanisms to deploy changes through different environments
- Actively participate in stand ups and other Agile ceremonies
Technical Must-Haves
- 5 years’C# development experience
- 2 years’experience with modern front-end development frameworks and tooling (ReactJS preferable)
- Experience writing automated unit and functional tests
Technical Should-Haves
- BDD with Specflow or Gherkin syntax
- Design Patterns
- Rest API design and creation
- Use of CI/CD tools (such as TeamCity/Octopus Deploy/DevOps Pipelines)
- IaC - Ansible / Terraform
- Git
- Azure PaaS products
- Agile methodologies
