Job Summary
The Content Writer will create written content that provides information on language learning and showcases the products and services of Fluent Forever through various mediums such as blog entries, progress updates, grammar articles, and informational pieces. They will need to conduct thorough research on industry topics and work closely with stakeholders for feedback and improvements. They will work closely with the Editor and Director of Operations to have alignment with the company voice and brand.
Content Writer Duties &Responsibilities
- Organize writing schedule(s) to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the Content Creation team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and content
- Utilize simple keyword research and SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
Must-Have
- 1+ year(s) of experience writing blogs and articles on a full-time basis for a company
- Proven record of writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
- Experience doing research using multiple sources
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues, customers, and management
- Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
- Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
- Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, communications, media, journalism, or related field
- 1+ year(s) experience working in a remote environment
- Proven writing work experience in language learning or language content
- Interest in language-learning;multi-lingual
