MobilizeGreen seeks a 26-week Resource Assistant Intern to work with the National Partnership Office. The Resource Assistant will assist in a variety of functions supporting the

implementation of the “Partnerships on Every Forest” (PEF) program. Assignments will be project-oriented and provide the necessary skills for future career opportunities in the Forest

Service as part of their internship.

The Resource Assistant's Program is designed for emerging professionals to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. The RA will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills.

Term: 26 weeks starting June 6, 2022. Full-Time (40 hours per week).

Duty Station: 100% Virtual;Forest Service National Partnership Office, Washington, DC;Training and in-person events may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for essential PEF work, including a focus on developing the agency-wide partnership toolkit.
  • Schedule and plan meetings as needed to accomplish assigned work.
  • Conduct research and gather information to achieve project outcomes.
  • Participate in team discussions and provide feedback on ongoing work, including suggestions on how projects could be improved.
  • Provide additional support for Partnerships on Every Forest projects as determined by management, which could include things like the Partnership Network Peer Learning
  • Series and relationship management with the agency’s Partnership Network community.
Work Environment: The work environment presents normal, every-day risks or discomforts typical of offices, meeting rooms, field, and travel situations. Local travel in the metropolitan areas and locations outside the office may be required on a limited basis. The work requires the RA be flexible and be able to adapt to a variety of work settings, both indoors and outdoors. There may be lifting and moving boxes and equipment up to 25 pounds.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Natural Resources, Outdoor Recreation, Public Administration, or related field (0-5 years) with graduation within the past 5 years.
  • Strong active listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn new skills and ask questions
  • Familiarity and comfort with producing high-quality writing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, namely Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a team player
