The Strategic Communications team works at the intersection of visual, narrative, and communications design and develops content through a lens of business strategy and a deep understanding of multifaceted audiences. Our designers are a clarifying voice an integrative and ordering force that shapes the stories we tell on the Product Development Operations and Quality Team within Fords Industrial System. Using storytelling, design systems, branding, and tone, you will help make our purpose clear and weave a common thread through our work, helping bring the vision of senior leaders and the broader Product Development team to life for both internal external audiences.

AS A STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS DESIGNER: GRAPHIC DESIGN YOU WILL…
- Use your experience with graphic design, visual arts and other media to translate highly technical information into a cohesive and compelling story
- Interpret the vision of senior leaders and help communicate their vision across the business
- Distill complex topics to their core components and develop engaging and accessible stories that resonate with specific audiences
- Build or build upon content to help us frame our work and stories
- Strike a balance between visual and verbal tone, integrating points of view from a multidisciplinary team of creative professionals and subject matter experts in the business
- Embrace complex business challenges while working on a dynamic spectrum of projects
- Maintain a collaborative and empathetic mindset to solve problems with teams across Ford
- Assist in developing infographics, charts, and graphs to bring data to life
- Conceive, design, develop and test new ways to showcase our offerings
- Stay up to speed on trends to bring real-world inspiration to our work
- Revel in the art of detail with a desire to shape the bigger pictureQUALIFICATIONS
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegreein Graphic Design, Communication Design, Motion Design/Animation or New Media
- 3+ years Communication Design experience across a breadth of media
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passionate about automotive and transportation industry
- Extensive experience across a variety of media (print, web) including fluency in the following software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, Keynote, Microsoft Office. Experience with custom video/photography a plus
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for a range of stakeholders and objectives
- Equally comfortable designing and editing video as a PowerPoint presentation
- Comfortable in a creative, fast-paced environment with ambiguity and complexity
- Ability totravelmonthly
