Social Media Assistant

Your main responsibilities will be interacting and responding via messages and comments to our communities across social media platforms, and assisting with scheduling and posting daily content. You’ll play a key role in engaging with our community and keeping our social media presence vibrant.
What youll be doing in this role:
- Monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner across all social media platforms
- Engaging with followers in a meaningful way to foster a sense of community and connection
- Interacting with external peer accounts to expand our brand presence
- Participating in relevant conversations and communities to enhance brand visibility
- Assisting with scheduling and publishing posts according to content calendar across multiple platforms
- Conducting regular research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
- Updating weekly tracking spreadsheets with engagement metrics including views, likes, comments, and follows
- Collaborating with the social media team to create engaging social media content that resonates with our audience and aligns with brand messaging
- Other duties as assigned

- You have direct experience engaging with online communities across social
- You love staying up-to-date with social media trends and best practices
- You love creating engaging social media content
- Youre an effective, clear communicator in all formats
- Youre practically always on time (or early) and strive to deliver ahead of deadlines
- You have excellent project management skills and are able to juggle multiple projects while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions
- You do great work autonomously and as part of a highly collaborative team (youll need to do both here!)
- You do whatever it takes and the phrase thats not my job is not a part of your vocabulary
- Youre a born GO GETTER always looking for ways to add value, do better work, improve efficiencies, build others up, and make the world a better place
- Youre not afraid to bring new ideas to the table, even if theyre different from whats been done before, and you speak up when you notice opportunities for improvement
- You believe everything is figureoutable, and youre confident in your ability to find solutions when you hit obstacles
- Youre comfortable and even thrive in fast-paced environments where you learn something new every day
- Your experience includes working for a successful company or leader in the online world (not mandatory, but a plus)

In an ideal world, you have:
- 1-3 years of social media experience
- Experience working with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media platforms
- Understanding and interest in community engagement
- Interest in creating social media content
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A curious, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset
- You live and work in the continental United States

- This is a full-time virtual position working with our virtual team. Youll have full autonomy over where you work, what you wear and which pet sits at your feet
