The Role
The program manager will be responsible for the definition and implementation of global tools and programs that will support the efficient scaling of IT Asset Management. As the global program manager, they will help set the vision and direction on ITAM priorities, and drive alignment with our global teams, product managers, and technology leadership. Partnering with leads across the globe to define best practices and frameworks, lead operational change management, and to identify and implement cross-functional product solutions.
This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to disposal. The ITAM Program Manager will be expected to apply their knowledge of industry best practices and experience to demonstrably improve the state of the organizations ITAM activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT asset management program, including policies, processes, and procedures, to effectively manage the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal
- Define and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals, and establish processes for tracking asset status, location, and utilization
- Establish and enforce compliance standards and procedures to ensure that IT assets are properly licensed, configured, and utilized in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and software license agreements
- Implement tools and systems for asset tracking, monitoring, and reporting, and leverage data analytics to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and risk mitigation
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate employees on IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices, and foster a culture of accountability and compliance across the organization
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT assets and processes to identify gaps, address deficiencies, and drive continuous improvement in asset management practices and outcomes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory agencies on matters related to IT asset management, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of asset-related data and metrics
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT asset management, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our asset management program
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT asset management, preferably in a large enterprise or complex organizational environment
- Strong understanding of IT asset management principles, practices, and methodologies, including asset lifecycle management, inventory control, software licensing, and compliance
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing IT asset management policies, processes, and procedures, and driving adoption and compliance across diverse stakeholder groups
- Proficiency in IT asset management tools and systems, such as IT asset management software, configuration management databases (CMDB), and software license management tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Relevant certifications (such as ITIL, CITAM) are a plus
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary;we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 –$720,000.
