Snowplow Analytics - remote jobs

Snowplow is on a mission to move companies away from a one-size-fits-all mindset in analytics and provide customers with a platform that not only lets them take control of their data but do amazing things with it. Just like our software, we’re passionate about fostering a mindset when it comes to how we work. Our culture strives to align with the principles of open-source and is based on collaboration, transparency, and autonomy. We give our developers the freedom to work wherever they work best, be that at home or on a beach (yes, that really does happen). To ensure the continued development of our platform, our engineering team has grown significantly this last year and is set to do the same in 2020. We now operate across Data & Product Engineering, TechOps and Services. Our Products: The Snowplow Insights product and engineering teams are tasked with delivering a world-class user interface for Snowplow customers. The Snowplow open-source platform is known for its use of a wide variety of sophisticated technologies, from data collection tracking scripts, schema validation and event enrichment, to data modeling and data storage - all at enterprise-level scale and quality. Given this broad and deep technology estate, the Snowplow Insights team must be innovative in its approach to delivering a compelling customer experience. The evolution of Snowplow Insights is driven by our culture of collaboration, experimentation, and analytical thinking;above all development is an iterative process, where product usage insights drive further development in the offering. We embrace new technologies, not for their novelty, but rather to solve obstacles in our way. We have a common purpose: deliver a category-defining product that changes the way companies use data to make crucial business decisions. Three things that you're guaranteed to find at Snowplow: New & Evolving Technology From working towards deploying and orchestrating Snowplow not only on AWS but also GCP & Azure, to exploring tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Vault for our next level of automation, we're always looking to utilize emerging technologies to make our product the best it can be. Learning & Progression With the magnitude of evolving technology at hand, we understand that career paths may change and support all our engineers to work with the technologies and tools that they are interested in. One of the perks of working for a fast-growing startup is that are many different areas an engineer can move into! ‘Careers are a jungle gym, not a ladder.’ - Sheryl Sandberg, COO Facebook. Diverse & Motivated Team One of the unique things about Snowplow is that over half of us work remotely all over the world. We stay connected through weekly ‘Snow-And-Tell’ sessions, meetups, offsites, and two fantastic Away Weeks each year. Despite our geographical differences, we have a lot in common. The culture at Snowplow is not defined by where you’re from, it's about who you are and what you can bring to the table.
