Animal Flow is a growing fitness education brand which provides science-based education and certification programs though videos, an On Demand channel, website and social media resources, and workshops offered live in 35 countries and online. We are seeking a Web Developer (P/T) to join our team. 

The Web Developer will work as an integral member of our team, helping to bring several of our websites to the next level. The primary focus will be on the www.AnimalFlow.com website, with additional company-owned websites to be addressed as needed. We are looking for an outstanding individual to be responsible the coding, layout, security, and continual quality improvement of the website.

We offer competitive salary, and are open to discussing whether this position will be contract-based, salaried, or via an agency contract.  We are seeking an initial commitment of 20 hours per week, with possibility for this to become a full-time position. 

Animal Flow is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado.  Preference will be given to local candidates, but we will also consider remote candidates.  Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in website development
  • Deep experience and hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s.
  • Experience with WordPress and the with the Woocommerce e-commerce suite of plugins
  • Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain, expand, improve, and scale the www.AnimalFlow.com website
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Cooperate with graphic designers and marketing team to match visual design intent
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Develop custom code, as needed, for a variety of eCommerce plugins, including Woocommerce and Events Calendar Pro
  • Develop and implement solutions for various website integrations and processes utilizing Zapier Pro
  • Develop and implement a user-friendly, searchable directory of Animal Flow Instructors, integrated with various back-end databases, including both front-end and back-end components
  • Cooperate with the Director of Marketing to develop strong integrations with the Active Campaign CRM system
  • Maintain test site to continually monitor and test updated and/or new components of the website. Develop and implement comprehensive application testing procedures.
  • Monitor website performance and make adjustments as necessary to continually improve user functionality, speed, responsiveness, and security.  Update existing applications (including various WordPress plug-ins) to meet emerging security and functionality standards.
