Technical Product Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the discovery track of our clients’ products/projects and responsible for delivering value within the constraints of a client’s business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the discovery track of a product, along with a product designer or alone depending on the type of product.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers and marketers to discover and deliver innovative, effective solutions.
  • Work with the sales team to meet with prospective clients and create proposals.
  • Serve clients and team members as the primary point of contact on products.
  • Work closely with tech teams to prioritize features/tasks, allocate resources, and resolve challenges in a timely manner.
  • Work with delivery/project managers to coordinate across teams.
  • Track OKRs (objectives &key results) / KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate statuses, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders, and proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks.
  • Gather feedback from products’ end users.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to inform product strategy and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in technical product management, or related roles such as lead engineer, product designer, co-founder, consulting, etc.
  • Understand techniques of modern product discovery and development
  • Strong background in cloud platforms, at least one of: AWS, GCP and/or Azure.
  • Ideally a strong background in mobile apps.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Heap or similar.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana or similar.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of successfully delivering solutions to hard problems and making sound decisions while juggling multiple constraints such as date/time commitments, budget, etc.

The Job

  • Free-lance contractor based work (1099)
  • Pay range: $50-75/hr, skill dependent
  • Expected work of 20+hours/week (varies based on work closed and capacity)
  • Must have reliable access to a computer and able to use or learn company tools including Slack, Zoom and Monday.com
  • Flexible availability Monday-Friday, we can work with most schedules and do not require or expect weekend work
