We are looking for a North America-based, Technology Lead to join our angel funded, fast growing start up in the EdTech space
About Us:
COVID has changed the course of the academic and education sector. Institutions are under immense pressure and grant funding is evaporating.
Now, more than ever, academics are laser-focused on showcasing their work and developing their independent brand. Whether that be to advance their career in academia, to find opportunities in business and goverment or to deliver and monetise content independently.
Our mission is to empower academics during this fundamental shift and create the biggest repository of academic content, globally.
We are building a connected content management system (CMS) that allows academics to house and present all their key assets in one spot including articles, teaching materials, datasets, code and other media.
As our community grows, we want to offer tools ontop of our CMS that enable new revenue sources for academics and greater opportunities around research discovery and collaboration.
Traction:
•Version 1 of platform completed on 19th December
•Waitlist of beta customers from world leading institutions + approached by a university for a faculty-wide paid contract
•Influential academics as part of the management team (assisting with product development and go to market strategy)
•Recently closed an angel round (primarily from Professors and a couple of other advisors)
• We are moving to the US in the new year and starting conversations with investors to raise a seed round
•We are planning on applying to YC in the new year (some of our initial investors are YC grads)
