We’re seeking a support engineer to play a vital role in the smooth execution and functioning of the platform, with the potential for growth into other engineering roles. WHAT YOU’D DO
As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for addressing day-to-day hotfixes, bug fixes, and feature development to benefit the program delivery teams. This position works closely with the CTO to triage incoming support requests and proactively work to improve the overall stability and safety of the platform. This includes:
- Triaging and engineering solutions to incoming support requests
- Identifying and fixing ongoing issues in consultation with tech and delivery teams
- Documenting platform process and functionality to build program team technical capacity and capture team knowledge
- Acting as a first-line resource for delivery teams with troubleshooting and support requests
- Performing quality assurance tests and writing automated tests as needed to support new feature development

YOU PROBABLY HAVE
- Proficiency with web technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems
- Ability to learn quickly and synthesize information and requirements effectively
- Commitment to creating and fostering a psychologically safe work environment
- Excellent oral and written communication
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Teaching or curriculum design experience
- Knowledge of international relations, development and/or peacebuilding work at the local or international level
