We are looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist who has demonstrated experience strategizing and building marketing funnels, and who possesses an understanding of how brand messaging/positioning, user research, and marketing automation work together to create a positive experience for the end user — and ultimately, increase conversion rates.

In this role you will support our clients by creating marketing campaigns and assets that align with their organizational goals. Along with leadership, you will consult with clients to understand their objectives, define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strategize and build lead conversion campaigns and funnels, and track/analyze data to measure results and optimize performance. While marketing automation and strategic brand positioning are key components of the position, this role requires an adaptable team player who is comfortable spending time on copywriting and other marketing tasks as needed.

This is a six-month contract-to-hire position. This role is completely remote and operates within Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work well with designers, developers, and other content/marketing team members in a collaborative setting
  • Take direction and communicate with Director of Digital Marketing and senior team members to receive feedback
  • Work with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) to create digital marketing assets (such as landing pages, forms, drip campaigns) that support client goals
  • Consult with clients to identify/define their marketing and branding goals, and conduct research to support their brand positioning and strategic messaging initiatives
  • Measure and analyze current and past campaigns to evaluate effectiveness and optimize performance
  • Contribute to internal and client documentation libraries by recording processes and campaign implementation procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with designers on relevant visual assets (e.g., providing creative direction or requesting graphics for emails and landing pages)
  • Participate in brainstorming, planning, and project update calls with clients and internal team members
  • Support marketing team by creating other content (such as social media assets, marketing emails, blog articles, and case studies) as needed

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in HubSpot Marketing and HubSpot CMS tools
  • Experienced in data monitoring using Google Analytics
  • Thorough understanding of SEO and inbound marketing best practices
  • Strong background in data analysis
  • Experience with brand messaging/positioning research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects
  • A knack for quickly learning new tools and software
  • Able and willing to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experienced working remotely with distributed teams

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience running paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, web retargeting, PPC social media advertising)
  • Familiarity with social media best practices and scheduling tools (e.g., SproutSocial and Hootsuite)
  • Foundational knowledge of web design and development workflows
