Staff Software Engineer, Identity Now - remote

IdentityNow is the first and only comprehensive identity governance and management product to be truly delivered as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Built from the ground up on a microservices, multi-tenant architecture, our goal is to ensure customers canprovision with confidence, protect at scale, and comply with certainty.

We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about solving problems to join our fast-growing team. Specifically, this role is on our password management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient, maintainable, secure and robust microservices

  • Product minded perspective to problem solving, turn complex business requirements into scalable software via sound technical design and implementation

  • Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing

  • Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality that allow for continuous delivery

  • Ensure that features are properly deployed into production and instrument for metrics

  • Share on-call responsibilities with the team (rotation) and improve observability of services

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of professional software development experience

  • Java or other object-oriented design and implementation experience including working knowledge of standard libraries and design patterns

  • Experience with implementing RESTful APIs and OpenAPI 3.0 for an API-first design

  • Experience building distributed systems, microservices and knowledge of design patterns

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with security concepts, authentication and authorization protocols like OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, MFA, KBA

Preferred:

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience with Java or Golang

  • Familiarity with encryption algorithms

  • Experience with Continuous Delivery

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka
