Senior Product Manager – Remote or Dallas, TX

We are looking for a strong senior product manager with experience managing custom, highly complex projects. A senior product manager spends most of their time on select, high-profile web projects, and is organized, a good communicator, an efficient problem solver and excels at preparing documentation.

PartnerComm is one of the country’s largest employee communication agencies. We work with some of the most iconic brands in the world, helping talk benefits, pay, culture, wellness, diversity and inclusion and anything else companies want to say to employees. We value experimenting with new technology and continuing to push ourselves forward. But before you stop reading, know this: We operate as a highly creative ad agency. Sound good? Keep reading.

Overview

The senior product manager will:

·      Understand, document and own the requirements and scope of assigned projects

·      Be the liaison between clients, consultants, designers and developers

·      Manage out-of-scope requests

·      Schedule and facilitate project meetings

·      Proactively manage project timelines and keep the team on track with deadlines

·      Create and implement internal and client-facing business requirements documents and test plans

·      Communicate which features are ready for testing and set timing expectations

·      Use their knowledge and experience to be a resource for user experience questions

·      Fully understand the client’s objectives and communication goals. The senior product manager may not always be the subject matter expert but can speak confidently about the content and know how to find answers.

Key responsibilities

Documenting

·      Requirements for a project can be complicated and can change on a dime as client requests come in or as we find new and better ways to create something. A senior product manager understands that scope does and will change, and is not there to stop scope changes, but to document and manage them within the larger context of the project.

·      Key takeaways from meetings should be documented and shared with the team.

·      The senior product manager will create clear and concise tasks (e.g., design new page, wireframe particularly complex user flow, create logic) for designers and developers — including complete requirements — then will review and approve the work.

Communicating

The senior product manager will:

·      Partner closely with the lead consultant to achieve the client’s digital communication objectives

·      Participate in regular check-ins with clients, helping to explain technical considerations and guide project decision-making

·      Lead and facilitate regular check-ins with project team members, individually or as a group, as needed

·      Make relevant documents readily available to all team members in communication channels

Tracking

The senior product manager will:

·      Manage overall project plan and milestone dates, ensuring everyone is aware of upcoming delivery dates

·      Manage resources and ensure we have enough / the right people working on the project

·      Use analytics to help inform future team decisions about new and existing features

Personal skills

·      Strong communication and organizational skills

·      Experience working on a remotely distributed team

·      Self-motivated

·      Not afraid to bring ideas to the table, but also willing to listen and receive constructive feedback

·      Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple projects during the same time period and meet deadlines

·      Excited to be part of a team, share knowledge and help the team level up every day

And here are some key things that will help you land the job:

·       3+ years relevant work experience, especially with owning a project through its entire lifecycle

·       Experience working with a content management system, preferably WordPress

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English, and experience working with a distributed team

·       Knowledge of HTML and CSS

·       Understanding of basic UX/UI principles
