In this role, you will work in a team of senior technology experts in a truly international team on system critical components, like systemd and dracut to ensure stability and create innovation and value to our customers and technology partners.
Your job is to develop business critical software components - on one hand within the according Open Source Community and on the other hand integrate it into our SUSE Linux Enterprise product family.
In close collaboration with your co-assigned software developer peers you will develop new features, address issues in the code and provide input or an accurate testing of these.

Your profile should match the following:
- a bachelor degree in computer science or comparable education
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- good understanding of the Linux operating system, especially about start up and initialization procedures
- proficient skills in C and bash
- managing software projects with git
- basic understanding of Continuous Integration concepts
- proficiency in English to communicate in an international environment
- familiarity with the RPM-package format would be great
- familiarity with SUSE's Open Build Service is a plus
