About the Position
GPM’s Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is involved in every step of the software development process including designing, development and testing. You're a highly skilled professional with development and testing knowledge, and you know the entire system start to end. You will contribute to multiple projects based on GPM’s needs, working in an Agile environment to meet deadlines and deliverables. Reporting directly to the Product Quality Manager, you are passionate about technology, evolving strategies around testing, and eager to tackle new challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Perform test automation as well as setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms including web, mobile, and desktop
- Investigate customer problems referred by the technical support team
- Create and manage bug reports and communicate with the team
- Build test scenarios and acceptance tests
- Navigate technical communications with partners to understand client's systems or APIs
- Work with deployment teams, resolving any level issues for the system
- Set up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks
- Understand project documents, create and execute test cases, report, and test bugs
- Participate in test automation tool development, and additionally creating tools for generic use
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering top-notch work, growing and nurturing your own skills and talents, sharing knowledge with others, soliciting continuous feedback, and owning your role in the customer experience lifecycle
- Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of GPM corporate and client Protected Health Information (PHI) data
- Take on other tasks and projects as needed
Who You Are
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- You have 2+ years of software development or test automation experience
- You possess a strong foundational concept of programming;Functional, OOPS concepts, threading, collections framework, algorithms, etc.
- You have experience with at least one programming language (Java, Javascript/ES6, python, C#)
- You have experience working with “Agile + DevOps”process management methodologies
- You possess knowledge of various test methods and corresponding tools like MS Test, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, etc.
- You have the ability to locate bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and confident in client-facing work
- You possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and/or tasks
- You are committed and accountable for work and follow-through on projects and goals
- You are collaborative and team-oriented with the ability and desire to work across diverse, cross-functional teams
- You have prior experience working in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment;preferred, but not required
- You have prior experience working in healthcare or health-tech, especially in the Long-Term Post-Acute Care industry (LTPAC);preferred, but not required
- You have prior Agile/Scrum experience
